When my daughter was little, our family started a new tradition — Confetti Elves!
Each December, our elves arrive to sprinkle kindness (and a little confetti!) around the house. Every morning, they leave a small note with a thoughtful or fun activity — simple ways to connect, give back, and celebrate the season together.
What started as a few handwritten notes has grown into one of our favorite parts of the holidays. It’s not about doing something big every day — it’s about slowing down, creating little sparks of joy, and reminding each other what this season is really about.
The holiday season moves fast, and sometimes, it’s easy to forget the small moments of magic that make it special — the laughter in the kitchen, the twinkle lights at night, the feeling of doing something kind just because. That’s where our Confetti Elves come in.
They help us press pause. Smile more. Do good. And find wonder in the ordinary.
The Confetti Elf Arrival
On December 1st, our elves make a magical arrival — sometimes they bring a tiny advent calendar, other times a little table setup with cheerful decorations, treats, and of course… a sprinkle of confetti.
You can make it as simple or as elaborate as you want — the goal isn’t perfection, it’s creating a moment of excitement and joy to kick off the month.

How It Works
Each morning, the elves leave a note or mini activity — something fun, thoughtful, or festive. These notes can be printed, handwritten, or tucked into a tiny envelope for your child to discover.
Think of them as daily invitations to do something small but meaningful — from sharing kindness to making memories together.
Here’s how to start your own Confetti Elf tradition:
The elves “arrive” on December 1st with a surprise or advent calendar.
Each day, they leave a note or mini activity (acts of kindness, family fun, or festive cheer).
Keep it flexible — you can plan ahead, mix in spontaneous ideas, or reuse favorites each year.
The goal: spread kindness like confetti — everywhere you go.
