I didn’t plan on creating a soda shop as an addition to my Game Night party. But once the idea hit… I couldn’t unsee it. And now? The Girly Pop Soda Shop might be my favorite party feature I’ve ever done.
What is the Girly Pop Soda Shop?
It’s basically a DIY dirty soda bar where guests can:
Pick a drink
Customize flavors
Add cream + toppings
Order from a full menu
It turns a drink station into an experience.
What is a Dirty Soda?
If you’ve never had one, here’s the formula:
Soda + flavored syrup + cream + topping
That’s it. But the combinations? Endless.
My Setup
I went all in (in the best way):
A full printed menu board
A custom Girly Pop Soda Shop sign
Syrups lined up for “ordering”
Cups, ice, toppings ready to go
I wanted it to feel like a pop-up shop in my house.
The Menu (My Favorite Detail)
I designed a full menu with fun drink names like:
Mermaid
Cherry Bomb
Lemon Cloud
Electric
Creamsicle
And of course…The signature drink: Girly Pop
Printing the menu as a large poster made it feel like a real soda shop.
Pro tip: check places like Staples, CVS, or Walgreens for poster deals.
The Signature Drink: “Girly Pop”
Every menu needs a signature drink and this was the star. A mix of:
Lemon-lime soda
Strawberry + vanilla syrup
Splash of cream
Finished with a cherry
It’s sweet, fun, and honestly… so good.
Party Favor Details
The party favor was adorable! It was a "Make Your Own Cherry Pie Soda" kit that included:
A can of soda
Syrups
Creamers
A cup
A fun topper
Additionally, there was an adorable card with instructions to guide guests in creating their own delicious cherry pie soda.
Why This Worked So Well
This wasn’t just a drink station. It became:
A gathering spot
A conversation starter
Something they were genuinely excited about and kept coming back for more!
Even the boys at the party were fully into it—which I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure about at first.
But it turns out…fun wins every time.
