Creamy Tuscan Chicken Tortellini Bake (Easy + Crowd-Friendly)

This creamy Tuscan chicken tortellini bake is one of those recipes that feels a little fancy but couldn’t be easier to pull together, which makes it perfect for hosting nights like paint parties, Galentine’s, or any cozy gathering where you want comfort food without hovering over the stove.
I love a good shortcut, and using a quality jarred Alfredo sauce keeps this dish stress-free while still delivering big flavor.
It bakes up creamy, cheesy, and hearty, and the spinach stirred in at the end adds just enough freshness to balance it all out.
This is a great prep-ahead dish, feeds a crowd, and reheats beautifully.
Creamy Tuscan Chicken Tortellini Bake
Serves
4–6 people
Prep Time
10 minutes prep + 40 - 45 minutes cook time
Ingredients
16–24 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
2 chicken breasts, diced
1 tsp each: garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, salt
3 oz sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1–2 jars good-quality Alfredo sauce (use 2 if you like it extra saucy)
2 tsp minced garlic
Diced green onion (2 stalks)
3 Tbs chopped parsley
Red pepper flakes, to taste
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 box fresh spinach
How to Make It
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Add diced chicken to a 9×13 baking dish. S
Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.
Next, stir in Alfredo sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, green onion, parsley, and tortellini until well combined.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove from oven, stir in the fresh spinach, cover again, and bake for another 10 -15 minutes, until spinach is wilted and chicken is fully cooked.
Remove from oven, stir the bake to fully incorporate the spinach.
Top with shredded mozzarella, and bake uncovered for 3–5 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
Serve warm with garlic bread or a simple salad.
Hosting Notes
This dish can be assembled earlier in the day and baked just before guests arrive.
If serving for a party, keep it warm in the oven on low until ready to serve.
Pairs perfectly with garlic bread, a wedge salad, Cesar salad, or a simple green salad.
Comfort food doesn’t need to be complicated, and this one proves it.
Enjoy!
